Reopening Our Cosmetic Dental Clinic: Health & Safety Procedures
You may be aware the government recently announced that dentists can open from the 8th of June. This was an unexpected announcement as the dental profession was led to believe we would be opening early July.
However this is great news so that we can start seeing all our patients again. We are planning to re-open mid June. The exact date will depend on successful completion of the below processes, as we are still awaiting final regulations.
Protocols and operating procedures will change in respect to the number of patients we see, additional PPE required and new social distancing measures at the clinic. All measures are being put in place to keep our patients, team and families safe. Further updates will be available on our website, Facebook and Instagram.
In the meantime, we are still available on the telephone and email for advice. If you need any advice, please feel free to call/email. We are available on the phone during normal hours.
In case of a severe emergency we must send a referral that goes to a further triage and assessment centre and they then have the final say whether you will be seen for treatment or not. If you need treatment, you will be directed to a clinic providing the service, based on your postcode. Unregistered patients are left with the only option of using NHS 111 or A&E which is not the most satisfactory solution at all.
Once again, thank you for your continued support during our enforced closure. I am reassured that the practice has a wonderful group of patients that makes it a pleasure to care for, and we all look forward to seeing you in the next few weeks.
